Vee Edge® Technology Private Limited ("Vee Edge®", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to responsible environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices. As an IT Solutions and IT Hardware company, we recognize our responsibility to manage electronic waste ("e-waste") in an environmentally sound manner and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

This E-Waste Management Policy outlines our approach to the collection, handling, recycling, and disposal of e-waste generated through our operations and supplied products.

Regulatory Compliance

Vee Edge® complies with all applicable environmental laws and regulations related to e-waste management, including but not limited to:

  • The E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 and subsequent amendments issued by the Government of India
  • Guidelines issued by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and State Pollution Control Boards (SPCB)

We ensure that e-waste is managed only through authorized and certified recyclers and dismantlers as prescribed by regulatory authorities.

Scope of E-Waste

E-waste refers to discarded electrical and electronic equipment and components, including but not limited to:

  • IT and computing equipment (servers, desktops, laptops, thin clients, peripherals)
  • Networking and communication devices
  • Storage devices and electronic accessories
  • End-of-life hardware supplied or supported by Vee Edge®

Our Commitment

Vee Edge® is committed to:

  • Minimizing the generation of e-waste through efficient product design, responsible procurement, and lifecycle management
  • Promoting reuse, refurbishment, and recycling wherever feasible
  • Preventing environmental pollution and human health risks associated with improper e-waste disposal
  • Creating awareness among employees, partners, and customers regarding safe handling of e-waste

Safe Disposal and Recycling

  • All e-waste generated by Vee Edge® operations is segregated and stored safely prior to disposal
  • E-waste is handed over only to authorized e-waste recyclers or collection centers
  • No e-waste is disposed of in municipal waste streams or informal recycling channels
  • Data-bearing devices are securely wiped or destroyed prior to recycling to ensure data confidentiality

Customer and End-User Responsibility

Customers and end users are encouraged to:

  • Avoid disposing of electronic equipment in household or general waste
  • Hand over end-of-life electronic products only to authorized collection centers or recyclers
  • Follow applicable local regulations for e-waste disposal

Where applicable, Vee Edge® may facilitate guidance or coordination for responsible disposal of end-of-life hardware supplied by us.

Employee Awareness and Training

Vee Edge® conducts internal awareness initiatives to ensure that employees understand:

  • The environmental impact of improper e-waste disposal
  • Safe handling and segregation of electronic waste
  • Compliance requirements under applicable e-waste regulations

Data Security and Confidentiality

We recognize that electronic equipment may contain sensitive or confidential data. Vee Edge® ensures that appropriate data sanitization, destruction, or secure handling measures are implemented before any equipment is recycled or disposed of.
